Hannover Messe 2023 Becomes An Opportunity To Promote National Industry Investment And Export

JAKARTA - Indonesia became the first ASEAN country to be trusted as the Official Partner Country for the third time at the world's largest industrial technology exhibition Hannover Messe.

Indonesia's participation in this prestigious event is projected to be an opportunity to build branding for the country's manufacturing sector, which is ultimately targeted to be able to promote investment and exports of the national industrial sector in the European region.

Indonesian Ambassador to Germany Arif Havas Oegroseno said, so far, the world community, especially Europe, has known Indonesia as a tourist destination. Not many know about Indonesia's ability to produce airplanes, rail transportation, and ships, both for transportation and military purposes, so this is what prompted Indonesia to participate in the 2023 Hannover Messe.

"This is also in line with Indonesia's vision to become the top five industrial players in Asia by 2030," said Arif through his official statement, quoted on Thursday, April 13.

The Hannover Messe 2023 event which will take place on April 17-21 2023 in Hannover, Germany, Indonesia will later showcase a number of industrial technologies 4.0 and investment opportunities in the industrial sector.

Indonesia will also hold a series of activities, such as the opening of the Indonesian Pavilion at the Hannover Messe Fairground with an area of ​​around 3000 m2, business summits, Indonesia country nights, and several industry-themed conferences.

"In order to further increase public awareness of the Hannover Messe 2023 event, the Government of Indonesia has also carried out several promotional and publication activities, both at home and abroad, even long before the exhibition was held," he said.

Through the promotional and publication activities that have been carried out, continued Arif, it is hoped that in the future Indonesia will be able to achieve four main targets in its participation in the Hannover Messe 2023, such as introducing Indonesia's vision on the Making Indonesia 4.0 roadmap, promoting industrial cooperation, promoting investment and exports, and enhancing bilateral cooperation relations with Germany and entering the global supply chain network.

Arif added, Indonesia's participation as the Official Country Partner was in line with the strategic initiative 'Making Indonesia 4.0' to answer the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution.

"This will also lead to increased inclusive sustainability, startup business and technology development, as well as to support a circular economy," he added.

As for the Hannover Messe 2023, Indonesia will present as many as 157 co-exhibitors, including the Oil Palm Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS)/The Indonesian Palm Oil Estate Farm), Astra Internasional Tbk., State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) and k/ l, as well as PT Domas Agrointi Prima and PT Kaltim Parna, which expressed their support for Indonesia's participation in the 2023 Hannover Messe.
