Digital Literacy Index In Indonesia Increases In The Last Three Years
JAKARTA - The digital economy ecosystem is all economic activities that utilize the internet and change business processes to create new mechanisms such as in the ICT, e-commerce sector, logistics, finance, health, education, and tourism sectors.
So that the digital economy can grow as expected, inclusiveness is the key to its success.
Based on research entitled 'The behavior of Indonesia's E-Commerce Consumers', it can be seen that people outside the metropolitan city are getting used to the digital economy, especially e-commerce.
However, the lack of digital economy inclusiveness is due to the unevenness of supporting factors.
According to the 2023 East Ventures - Digital Competitive Index (EV-DCI) report, the supporting factors for equitable digital economy in Indonesia, especially outside the metropolitan area, are public infrastructure, regulations, and digital capabilities.
Equity in the digital ecosystem is also influenced by the increase in people's digital capabilities. Based on the results of a survey conducted by the Ministry of Communication and Information with KIC, the Indonesian people's Digital Literacy Index has always increased in the past three years.
VOIR éGALEMENT:
In 2020, the digital literacy index in Indonesia will be 3.47. Then in 2021, Indonesia's digital literacy index will increase to 3.49 and 3.54 in 2022.
This shows that the digital transformation process in the country is getting better. In addition, in the issue of equitable distribution there is no significant difference in the results of the index and each pillar between the Disadvantaged, Frontier, and Outermost (3T) and Non 3T regions.
To improve digital literacy of people in Indonesia, the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) itself has provided a National Digital Literacy Movement (GNLD) program, in order to improve digital capabilities through four pillars, namely digital skills, digital ethics, digital safety, and digital culture.
