Searches For Susi Air Pilots Who Were Hostage By KKB Were Expanded To Yahukimo And Puncak Regencies
JAYAPURA - The search for Susi Air pilots who were taken hostage by the KKB led by Egianus Kogoya has now been expanded to the Yahukimo Regency and Puncak Regency.
"It is true that the search for New Zealand national pilots who have been held hostage since 7 February has been extended to Yahukimo Regency," said Head of Damai Cartenz Police Commissioner Faizal Rahmadani in Jayapura, Saturday, April 8, quoted by Antara.
He explained that the expansion of the search range was because the area was interconnected so that previously around Nduga Regency and Lanny Jaya it had now expanded to Yahukimo and Puncak.
However, the National Police together with the TNI will continue to try to find and release hostages who work as Susi Air pilots.
"Egianus usually doesn't just bully and will do what he says so we can't be careless," said Kombes Faizal.
