Wamenprakraf Angela Tanoesoedibjo Predicts The Number Of Visits To Tourist Destinations During Eid 2023 Increases By 25 Percent

Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Wamenparekraf) Angela Tanoesoedibjo predicts the number of visits to tourist destinations during the 2023 Eid holiday momentum will grow by 25 percent.

"It is predicted that the number of visits to tourist destinations during the Eid holiday momentum will grow by 25 percent. From tourism perspectives, the predicted movement of people reaching 123.8 million people during this year's Eid holiday will also encourage visits to a number of tourist destinations," said Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy in an official statement, quoted from Antara, Santu, April 8.

Angela explained, in addition to tourist destinations, transportation, and accommodation, the factor of eating and drinking will also be the largest tourist expenditure during the Eid holiday. The economic turnaround in the tourism sector and the creative economy (parekraf) is estimated at IDR 100 trillion-IDR 150 trillion

So that the movement of tourists runs comfortably and safely, his party will ensure the availability of official transportation, readiness of rest areas to services at tourist sites.

"The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy also continues to ensure the availability of official transportation, the readiness of rest areas for drivers, health protocols, services and security for tourists", he said.

Angela also hopes that the momentum of this year's Eid holiday can run smoothly in the morning for travelers.

"Hopefully this year's Eid homecoming will run smoothly and bring happiness to all of us," said Wamenparekraf.

As previously reported, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno asked people who would go home to their hometowns to contribute to the local economy.

"After arriving at the hometown, move to a local tourist destination and contribute to the local economy by consuming regional culinary delights and creative economy products," he said.

Sandiaga also appealed to prospective travelers who will use private vehicles to ensure the reliability and security of vehicles and not to force themselves to drive more than 12 hours and get enough rest in the designated area before continuing their journey.
