Regarding Liquefaction On Cisumdawu Toll Road, Here's Minister Basuki's Response
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works And Housing (PUPR) ensures that the ground movement problem that occurred in Section 5 of the Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan (Cisumdawu) Toll Road section will not disrupt the operation of the toll road, especially ahead of the 2023 Eid homecoming.
"Earlier I said that we will complete the two lanes for the landslide areas first. The technical aspects are being handled, they are safe," Basuki told reporters after being met at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, April 4.
Basuki said that the Cisumdawu toll road should operate with four lanes, namely Bandung to Cirebon and Cirebon to Bandung. However, there are two routes that are still being handled by the Ministry of PUPR and are certain to be completed before the Eid homecoming flow later.
"So, for example, for example, it has to be 4 lanes from Bandung to Cirebon, Cirebon to Bandung, so we will finish the two lanes first, so that later we will make the avalanche area a bridge," he said.
Thus, continued Basuki, the operation of the toll road will not be disrupted and it can still be used by travelers.
"Yesterday we saw that there should be 4 lanes, now these two lanes are being handled, so this can be penetrated. What is clear later on the 14th or 15th (April) can be passed from Cileunyi to Cipali," he concluded.
