Eid Al-Fitr 2023 Joint Leave Officially Forward, Minister Of Manpower Ida: THR Payments Remain The Longest D-7
JAKARTA - The government has officially set changes to Eid al-Fitr's holiday in 2023. Where the collective leave, which was originally started on April 21, was pushed forward to April 19. Even so, the rules for payment of holiday allowances (THR) remain, namely D-7 before Eid.
This was conveyed by the Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah in a press conference, quoted from the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture's YouTube, Wednesday, March 29.
"The THR payment is no later than D-7 religious celebrations, I have also conveyed it," said Ida.
Although there are no changes to the rules regarding THR payments, Ida hopes that employers can pay them sooner.
"Although the provision is D-7, I hope the companies can pay faster than that provision," he said.
For your information, the implementation of the Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri joint leave for the previous changes on 21, 24, 25, and 26 April 2023 was changed to 19, 20, 21, 24, and 25 April 2023.
The changes are contained in a Joint Decree of 3 Ministers, namely the Minister of Religion, the Minister of Manpower, and the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform.
Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Muhadjir Effendy said the consideration of shifting the date of collective leave and adding this 1 day was to provide equality to the public to take early leave.
"So that it can avoid the buildup of the period at the peak of homecoming, which is estimated to coincide with the Eid al-Fitr 2023 celebration, April 21, 2023," said Muhadjir.
