DKI Provincial Government Asked To Accelerate Disbursement Of Card Social Assistance Program Before Eid
JAKARTA - Member of Commission E DPRD DKI Jakarta Idris Ahmad asked the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to speed up the disbursement of social assistance (bansos) in the form of cards to residents before Idul Fitri 1444 H.
Idris said social assistance was really needed by beneficiary groups (KPM) during the month of Ramadan to Eid. Bearing in mind, there is an increase in the daily expenses of residents during the month of Ramadan.
"It must be accelerated. The fasting month has entered, but assistance has not been received by the community. The fasting month is immediately pursued because the recipients need this assistance," said Idris in his statement, Tuesday, March 28.
So far, social assistance programs that are supposed to be disbursed every month are often not on time or are planned once every three months.
"If someone is designated as a recipient of social assistance in 2023, the assistance should have been disbursed since the first month of 2023. Even if in the first month we need the administration process, at least in the second month it can be disbursed," said Idris
In fact, in the past few years, aid has only been disbursed around April-May. Idris hopes that this will become a concern of the related regional apparatus so that a formulation is immediately sought.
"We hope that the Social Service is serious about fixing the mechanism for disbursing social assistance, especially the problem of timely disbursement, this is a classic problem that must be accelerated, bearing in mind that this is a basic right that must be fulfilled," he said.
