Support Mahfud MD 'Leak' Odd Transactions Rp349 T, Fahri Hamzah: O Parties In Senayan Don't Be Quiet

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Gelora Party Fahri Hamzah asked Commission III of the DPR to answer the challenge of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs as well as Chairman of the TPPU Committee Mahfud MD for a meeting related to suspicious transactions of Rp. 349 trillion at the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu). In that challenge, Mahfud also asked Commission III not to delay any more inviting him to explain the matter. The plan is that the meeting which Mahfud attended will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, March 29. This challenge must be answered by Commission III of the DPR RI," said Fahri Hamzah in his statement, Tuesday, March 28.

According to Fahri, if Commission III of the DPR does not answer Mahfud's challenge, it should be suspected that there was a conspiracy between the honorable council members and officials within the Ministry of Finance regarding the odd transaction.

"If it is not answered, maybe there is a conspiracy and money laundry actually starts from the elites in Senayan, including the leaders of their political parties," said the Deputy Speaker of the DPR for the 2014-2019 period.

According to Fahri, the DPR should have been able to speak out loud about odd transactions related to corruption of Rp. 349 trillion in the executive environment if there were no conspiracy and money laundry.

Fahri then reminded about the Century Bank bailout scandal worth IDR 6.7 trillion a few years ago. He said, at that time the parliament was very boisterous in questioning the issue. "Wow, parties in Senayan who have been in the DPR RI have been silent, now you have the opportunity to speak up regarding corruption in the 300s trillions in the executive," said the former Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR.

"We want to watch whether you still have a heart left. In the past, the Century Bank scandal was only about Rp6.7 trillion, Senayan was excited. Now you are making a voice!" continued Fahri. It is known that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had ordered Mahfud MD to explain in detail about the illegal transaction of Rp349 trillion at the Ministry of Finance. Including the understanding of alleged money laundering crimes to the DPR so that the public understands what money laundering means. Mahfud also hopes that Commission III of the DPR will not delay his invitation to explain the issue of odd transactions of Rp349 at the Ministry of Finance via his Twitter account on Sunday, March 26.

"Bismillah, hopefully Commission III will not go back and forth again inviting me, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs/Chairman of the KNK-pp-TPPU," Mahfud wrote in his tweet.

Mahfud then challenged back three members of the commission who had a firm tone several times about this issue to attend. One of the things that Mahfud said was a member of the DPR from the Democratic Party faction, Benny K. Harman.

"I am ready to attend. I challenge Brother Benny K. Harman to also attend and there is no excuse for other tasks," he wrote. Mahfud uploaded an online news link regarding Benny's words that challenged Mahfud to attend and dismantle odd transactions of Rp. 349 trillion at the Ministry of Finance.

In addition, Mahfud also challenged a member of Commission III of the DPR from the PPP faction Arsul Sani, as well as a member of the DPR from the PDIP faction, Arteria Dahlan, to attend. "Likewise, Arteria and Arsul Sani's brother. Don't look for reasons for absence," he said.
