Mario Suryo Aji Is More Consistent In Welcoming The Opening Of The 2023 Moto3 Season
JAKARTA The Indonesian racer who competed in Moto3, Mario Suryo Aji, was so enthusiastic about welcoming the season opener which will take place at the end of this week.
The season's opening race will take place from Friday, March 24, to Sunday, March 26 at the Algarve Circuit, Portimao, Portugal. Mario comes with more consistent results when compared to last year.
"Finally, after a long wait, this season will start soon. My team is happy with the results of our work during the winter test, doing some racing simulations," Mario said in an official statement from Honda Team Asia.
The rider who defended Honda Team Asia previously underwent pre-season training at the Algarve circuit last week. During that test, the lap time was considered far from satisfactory.
Mario completed his pre-season test in the 24th position in combination with his best lap time of 1 minute 48.833 seconds. That position is still better than his teammate Taiyo Furusato, who is 0.067 seconds adrift.
However, he was so satisfied with the results of his hard work. He claims, when compared to last season, he feels more ready to appear this season.
"I feel more consistent than last year. It was positive because the data confirmed my feelings were better. I am ready. My team too. Now is the time to race!" he said.
The Honda Team Asia Manager, Hiroshi Aoyama also has confidence. He said that during pre-season all of his riders had worked hard so he was so confident that the best results could be obtained.
"We will face the first season of racing this year in Portugal. During winter, our riders have worked hard, trained on motorbikes, gyms, cycling, and others. They also do some private tests to be ready for the first round," said Aoyama.
"We have all made maximum efforts. I want to see this effort return to them with good results. After four months without racing, I can't wait to start a new season at Portimao," he added.
