Swiss Open 2023 Schedule: Men's And Women's Doubles Turn
JAKARTA The 2023 Swiss Open badminton tournament will begin today, Tuesday, March 21. The following is the complete schedule for Indonesian representatives who will compete.
The Swiss Open will take place at St. Jakobshalle, Basel, from Tuesday, March 21 to Sunday, March 26. Indonesia has sent a total of 17 representatives at the event with Super 300 BWF levels.
Of that number, mixed doubles numbers dominate by sending the most representatives (6). In second place women's doubles (4), following the men's doubles (3), while men's and women's singles are 2 representatives each.
A total of six representatives, all of whom are double, will start the struggle on the first day. One of them must start from qualifying, while the other two immediately face each other.
The pair who started the qualification phase were women's doubles Meilysa Trias Puspitasari/Rachel Alllessya Rose. They faced Japan's representative, Sayaka Hobara/Yui Suizu.
The duel between fellow Indonesian representatives brought together Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi against Lanny Tria Mayasari/Ribka Sugiarto. This is the couple's first meeting.
The other three representatives who played today were Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri's men's doubles, Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin, and Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti.
Leo/Daniel will fight Jeppe Bay/Lasse Molhede, Bagas/Fikri are challenged by Krishna Prasad Garaga/Vishnvardhan Goud Panjala, while Apriyani/Fadia meet Treesa Jolly/Gayatri Gopichand Pullela.
