After The Case, 2 ASN And 1 Contractor Become Corruption Suspects Of The NTT Nagekeo Cooperative Service
NTT - Police have named 2 civil servants (ASN) and 1 private contractor in the alleged corruption case of the Department of Industry and Trade Cooperatives (Koperindag) of Nagekeo Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
"The determination of the three suspects was carried out after going through a case title by the Tipidkor Unit of the Nagekeo Police Criminal Investigation Unit," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Nagekeo Police, Iptu Rifa, Monday, March 20, as reported by Antara.
He explained that the 3 suspects, each with the initials DJ as the Head of the Nagekeo Cooperative Service Section, IP as the Secretary of the Nagekeo Cooperative Service, and RS is a partner who is also a contractor.
Rifa explained that the two ASNs and contractors were named as suspects after the results of the examination revealed that there was an act of falsifying list books in the accountability of financial administration for the destruction and removal of Danga Market assets at the Nagekeo Cooperative Service in 2019.
From the counterfeiting, the three suspects are suspected of enriching themselves, other people, or corporations and abusing their position of authority, position and facilities.
Furthermore, Rifa said that based on expert calculations in the alleged corruption case of the Nagekeo Cooperative Service, it is estimated that the state will lose up to IDR 333,621,750.
"The three suspects were also threatened with a minimum sentence of one year and a maximum of 20 years in prison," he said.
The three suspects violated Article 2, Article 3 and Article 9 of Law Number 31 of 1999 which was amended in Law Number 20 of 2001 for amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption, in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1e of the Criminal Code.
