Deadly Accident That Killed Badminton Athletes On Pemalang Toll Road, Police Still Conduct TKP
Pemalang Police, Central Java, conducted a crime scene investigation of an accident on the KM 315+200 road section of Pemalang-Pekalongan Toll Road which resulted in two deaths and three injuries.Pemalang Police Chief AKBP Yovan Fatika Handhiska Aprilaya said his party could not conclude the accident case."We are still investigating and processing the crime scene, as well as examining a number of witnesses related to the accident on the toll road," he said in Pemalang, Antara, Monday, March 20.Currently, all victims have been evacuated to the local hospital for post-mortem and medical treatment of three victims who were injured.The five victims in the accident case were Anik Sulistyowati (48), a resident of Jati Kramat, Bekasi (died) and badminton athlete Syabda Perkasa Belawa (22) who died after receiving treatment at Al Ikhlas Pemalang Hospital.The three injured were the driver of the Toyota Camry Muanis (49), Diana Sakti Anistyawati (25), and Tahta Bathari Cahya Lokas (11), all residents of Jalan Sibu, Jati Kramat, Bekasi.According to him, the accident began when the Toyota Camry car number B-1824-KBN driven by Muanis drove from west (Jakarta) to east (Semarang) at high speed.Arriving at the scene of the incident, the car carrying the five victims hit a truck with the police number AG-8711-V which was traveling in the same direction in front of him."Temporary suspicion, the case occurred because the driver of the Toyota Camry was sleepy," he said.Head of Jasa Raharja Pekalongan Representative Office, Sugeng Prastowo Dwiputranto, said that his party had checked and recorded data on the victims who had an accident on the Pemalang-Pekalongan toll road."However, because the victim came from Jatikramat Bekasi, compensation will be given at the Jasa Raharja Bekasi Representative," he said.
