Puan Maharani: Waterfront Sintang Can Become A West Kalimantan Tourism Icon
SINTANG - Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) Puan Maharani said, Waterfront Sintang can be used as an icon of Sintang Regency in West Kalimantan and can become a tourist attraction for people in the area."I see that waterfronts are cool and good, can be community recreation areas and become icons in Sintang Regency," said Puan Maharani after inaugurating Waterfront Sintang, in Sintang Regency, Antara, Sunday, March 19.Puan said that the construction of the Sintang Waterfront was a program of the Ministry of PUPR in structuring slum areas, so that local governments could be used to serve as community recreation areas.According to him, the existence of Waterfront Sintang has been handed over to the Sintang Regency Government to be managed, so it needs to be maintained and maintained, especially in beauty and cleanliness.He said, to maintain the cleanliness of the watersfront, it is not only the responsibility of the local government, but the responsibility of all people who visit."The cleanliness is maintained, do not litter, both in the courtyard of the waters or in the river," he said.In addition, Puan also asked the Sintang Regency Government to make arrangements for street vendors (PKL) who sell in waterfront areas so that they can be well organized and guaranteed cleanliness.Not only that, the public is also asked to maintain security and order and comfort during a visit to Waterfront Sintang.Puan Maharani, who was accompanied by the Chairman of Commission V DPR RI Lasarus, said she was happy to meet the Sintang community.He also promised to come back to Sintang and help with a number of developments in the area."I am happy to see the enthusiasm of the community, this is the first time the Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives has visited Sintang and I will come again to help the people of Sintang," he said.
