Overstay And Don't Have Passports, Soetta Immigration Secures 17 Foreigners
TANGERANG - TPI Soekarno-Hatta Special Class I Immigration Office arrested 17 Foreign Citizens (WNA) in one of the Cengkareng Apartments, West Jakarta. They were arrested, for exceeding the residence permit granted (overstay) and did not have travel documents or passports.
"This arrest started with complaints from the public about the activities of people who were disturbing and disturbing the order," said Head of Immigration Class I Special for TPI Soekarno-Hatta, Tito Andrianto in his statement seen, Sunday, March 19.
Tito said that his party netted 20 foreigners from the apartment, three people who were released by his side. This happened because the 3 foreigners had valid permits.
"One person was released after it was discovered that he had a valid travel document and residence permit and was still valid, one person was extending his immigration residence permit, and the other was the subject of UNHCR asylum seeker protection," he said.
Meanwhile, the other 17 foreigners were unable to show that the travel documents and had exceeded the residence permit granted or overstay. From these findings, his party has imposed immigration administrative measures in the form of deportation and deterrence of 10 Nigerian citizens.
"Those caught will be subject to immigration administrative measures in the form of detention, deportation to deterrence," he said.
