Bulog Lampung Prepares 215 RPK To Maintain Food Stability Ahead Of Ramadan And Eid
Bandar Lampung - Perum Bulog Regional Office (Kanwil) stated that as many as 215 of our Food Houses (RPK) are ready to help maintain food stability ahead of the National Religious Holidays (HBKN).
The Head of the Bulog Regional Office of Lampung Regional Office, Ethics Yulianti, said that the RPK also participates in maintaining price stability in the market. Currently, in the Lampung area, there are 215 RPK and will continue to be developed to participate in maintaining food stability, especially rice.
"Towards Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, supervision continues to be carried out to maintain commodity distribution and prices remain stable. Hopefully, with the existence of RPK and retail, prices and distribution will be stable," said Etik Yulianti, in Bandar Lampung, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, March 18.
He also revealed that currently there are 17 thousand tons of rice available that are ready to meet public consumption ahead of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.
Rice stock will continue to increase with harvest. This year, Lampung can achieve the target for the implementation of market operations of 40 thousand tons of rice in one year. From January 5 to February 28, there have been 11 thousand tons of rice distributed for the implementation of market operations.
With the RPK, cooperation with retail, implementation of market operations, and the existence of main harvests, price stability and rice stocks in Lampung, especially ahead of Ramadan and Eid this year, can be maintained.
Bulog Lampung has also targeted to absorb 82 thousand tons of grain and rice belonging to farmers this year.
In March-June, the absorption of rice and grain from farmers will be maximized as much as 70 percent of the target set by the government, equivalent to 57-58 thousand tons of rice and unhulled rice choosing farmers in Lampung.
