Jahit Machine Makes Erick Thohir Pede 6 Of The 2023 U-20 World Cup Stadium Will Meet FIFA Standards
JAKARTA - Chairman of the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2023 (LOC) Organizing Committee, Erick Thohir, ensured that all fields in the six main U-20 World Cup stadiums would meet the specified requirements.
This belief came after the arrival of the grass-stitching machine which is currently in Bali. This machine will later equalize the standard grass on the U-20 World Cup stadium to the one used by FIFA.
"The pitch stitching machine recommended by FIFA to improve the quality of the World Cup standard field is already present in Indonesia. Currently, the engine position is in Bali, to improve the quality of the field at the I Wayan Dipta Stadium, and will then rotate to other fields," Erick said in a written statement, Saturday, March 18. Stitching process is a work on sewing original grass and synthesis to modify grass density. The organizing committee scheduled the activity to start on Saturday to early May, as reported by Antara.
After the field of the I Wayan Dipta Stadium, the engine will be used at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (Surabaya), Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (Jakarta), Manahan Stadium (Solo), Si Jalak Harupat Stadium (Bandung), and finally at the Gelora Sriwijaya Jakabaring Stadium (Palembang). "With each stadium taking time to work for a week and transit between cities, we ensure that the work of sewing six fields for the U-20 World Cup will be completed on time. This is also pride because thanks to the U-20 World Cup, we have six fields at once standarded FIFA and the world," added the man who is also the General Chair of PSSI. The grass tailoring engine used by the organizing committee for World Cup preparation is carried out by British company Sisgrass. The company has a good reputation for design, construction, construction and installation of natural sports, synthesis, and hybrid surfaces. Similar technologies have also been used in the World Cup finals, and a number of competitions in Europe, Africa, to Asia. The U-20 World Cup will be held from May 20 to June 11. The big tournament will be attended by 24 countries, including Indonesia, which will later be divided into six groups. This is the first time that Indonesia will win the trust to host the U-20 World Cup, after previously Indonesia had hosted the 2007 Asian Games 2018 Asian Games.
