JCI A Week Drops 1.29 Percent, Market Capitalization Drops To IDR 9,281 Trillion
JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) for this week fell by 1.29 percent.
Citing data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Saturday, March 18, the JCI for the period March 13-17 ended at the level of 6,678.24, a decrease compared to the previous week of 6,765.3.
The average daily transaction volume of the Exchange increased by 58.12 percent to 23,155 billion shares. This achievement was compared to the previous week in 14.64 billion shares.
The average daily transaction value also increased to IDR 12.59 trillion. This amount strengthened 44 percent from IDR 8.742 trillion the previous week.
Meanwhile, the average daily transaction frequency also increased by 19.19 percent to 1,284,405 transactions from 1,077,630 transactions a week ago.
However, the JCI market capitalization this week experienced a 1.14 percent correction to Rp9,281.29 trillion from Rp9,388.2 trillion in the previous week.
Foreign investors on Friday recorded a net purchase value of IDR 1 trillion and throughout 2023 foreign investors recorded a net purchase value of IDR 3.53 trillion.
