Baim Wong's Warm Memories About Nani Wijaya, Humble And On Time
JAKARTA - Baim Wong was present at the funeral home to see Nani Wijaya's mediang for the last time. He came alone without his wife, Paula Verhoeven.
After seeing Nani Wijaya's body and delivering his prayers, Baim told the media crew that previously he had intended to visit the deceased when he was still being treated at the hospital.
Baim said his intention was not fulfilled because Nani Wijaya had died. Not only that, the 41-year-old actor had felt completely wrong.
"I wanted to tell you, it's just actually going the wrong thing, sometimes if our intention is to visit, this is what I feel, I'm afraid we think there is a need, content, something. I'm afraid of all the salag there," said Baim Wong when met at Nani Wijaya's funeral home in Sentul, Bogor on Thursday, March 16.
"But yes, how, our position is like that. In the end, it didn't happen, eh, I finally received the news this morning that the deceased died. Finally I came here (the funeral home)," he continued.
Having worked with Nani Wijaya, Baim remembers his senior as a disciplined and humble figure. He admitted that he was amazed by the legend's persona which he thought was difficult to find at this time.
"(Nani Wijaya) has been a senior on time, and the new person she is in charge of. In fact, it is the new person who should have been in charge first, but the deceased always negotiated first. He always gets closer to new players. That's what we rarely see now, now the new one wants to be discussed," explained Baim.
Before leaving the funeral home, Baim also prayed for Nani Wijaya. "He's a good person, that's all. Surely his charity preparations are full, because of good people. I pray for him," concluded Baim Wong.
