Bantul Regency Government Collaborates With Business World To Create Child-Friendly Regencies
BANTUL - Bantul Regency Government (Pemkab), Yogyakarta Special Region, collaborates with businesses that are members of the Bantul Friends of Indonesian Children's Company Association (APSAI) to support the realization of the local area as a Child-Friendly Regency.
"It is important and must for all of us to build a joint commitment, not only the government, but all stakeholders (stakeholders) and the business world in particular, to move together to solve the problem of fulfilling and protecting children's rights in Bantul," said Bantul Regent Abdul Halim Muslih as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday 15 March
According to him, it is necessary to involve the business world and other stakeholders, because the Child-Friendly Regency requires a development system based on fulfilling children's rights and protecting them.
"What is called a development system, of course, there are many elements that even though we consolidate them, so together we will build a development system based on the fulfillment of children and protection for them," he said.
He also said that realizing Child-Friendly Districts cannot be fully applied to regional apparatus organizations (OPD) related to the Bantul Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Agency for Population Control and Family Planning (DP3APPKB).
"Dinas-dinas, other OPDs have an obligation to work together with this DP3APPKB to realize Bantul as a Child-Friendly Regency, because to make this happen, we are obliged to fulfill various infrastructure facilities, programs and activities that support Child-Friendly Regencies," he said.
He gave an example of achieving a Child-Friendly Regency and also requiring complete health services starting from health centers, hospitals, posyandu, so that children get complete health services.
"This means that the Health Service is also responsible, our children must consume clean water, water that does not contain high e-coli elements and other bacteria. To realize this, the Public Works Service is responsible for building clean water infrastructure in all hamlets," he said.
Therefore, his party hopes that the OPD-OPD in Bantul can consolidate with the business world or the company in presenting child-friendly, women-friendly and persons with disabilities programs, in accordance with the mission that is explicitly contained in the Bantul Regency Government RPJMD.
"We are grateful that today the entrepreneurs, company directors in Bantul gather, thank you for your attention and loyalty to become administrators and members of APSAI Bantul, and this will contribute to Bantul's achievement as a Child-Friendly Regency," he said.
