Bogor City Government Provides Temporary Shelter For Victims Affected By Landslides
Bogor City Government (Pemkot), West Java prepared temporary shelters for 11 residents whose houses were affected by landslides in the railroad section in the Empang Village area, South Bogor District. Deputy Mayor of Bogor Dedie Abdul Rachim while reviewing the location of the landslide on Wednesday said that the city government had prepared houses in flats (rusun) in the area of Perum Menteng Asri, Menteng Village, Central Bogor District, as well as Cibuluh Village, North Bogor District, for residents whose houses were affected by landslides. "So, here 15 families are still not willing to move, including those who are now hit by landslides. So again, we urge all residents in vulnerable locations to immediately move to flats," said Dedie. Tuesday (14/3) at 23.00 WIB, a retaining cliff in the landslide railway area and hit five residents' houses in the neighborhood ofRT07 and RW04 Sirna Sari Village, Empang Village. Dedie said that the Bogor City Government had asked residents living in 11 landslide-proneighbor locations to move into flats.
The Regional Disaster Management Agency and related agencies in Bogor City have mapped areas prone to landslides and conveyed an appeal to residents not to live in vulnerable areas such as riverbanks, cliff surrounding areas, and areas with sharp signs. "The problem is that there are still residents who survive. In the midst of this weather, I don't know when the BMKG predicts rain conditions like this, we urge you to move immediately, this (Empang landslide location) area is still vulnerable," said Dedie Abdul Rachim.
