Jokowi Up To 3 Times Emphasizes Respect For Legal Process For Alleged Corruption BTS 4G At Kominfo
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (jokowi) asked all parties to respect the legal process in the alleged corruption case of the 4G Base Transceiver Station (BTS) project and supporting infrastructure of the Kominfo Telecommunications and Information Accessibility Agency (Bakti) at the Ministry of Communication and Informatics.
"Yes, we respect it. We respect all legal processes. We respect all legal processes," Jokowi said after attending the opening of the 2023 Business Matching of Domestic Products in Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, March 15.
Meanwhile, today the Minister of Communication and Informatics (Menkominfo) Johnny G. Plate for the second time complied with the summons of the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) to be examined as a witness in a case of alleged corruption in the provision of 4G BTS infrastructure and supporting infrastructure packages 1, 2, 3, 4 , and 5 Service of Communication and Informatics for the 2020-2022 period.
Previously, Tuesday, March 14, Johnny G Plate had also been questioned by the Attorney General's Office.
The head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Ketut Sumedana, said that his party would investigate the alleged manipulation of accountability for project progress, so that it would appear as if 100 percent disbursement could be carried out first in the project.
Ketut explained that Plate would also be examined regarding his policy in planning the construction of BTS. This is because projects that should have been implemented within five years were only carried out within one year.
In addition, investigators will clarify the alleged conspiracy to increase prices by a number of parties in the project. Plate was summoned again for questioning according to his position as a budget user (PA) of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics.
Then, he will also be clarified regarding his biological younger brother, Gregorius Alex Plate, who allegedly enjoys facilities related to the position of Johnny G. Plate.
