Kendari Police Seize 54 Cars Using Brong Exhaust

KENDARI - Kendari City Police (Polresta), Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda) confiscated 54 two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles using a racing or brong exhaust.

Kendari Police Chief Kombes Pol Muhammad Eka Fathurrahman in Kendari, Sunday, March 12, said as many as 54 two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles that used racing or Brong exhaust were confiscated by Traffic Unit (Sat Lalu) Kendari Police officers while on patrol.

"The Kendari Police Traffic Unit confiscated 54 two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles while conducting patrols around the Kendari Police jurisdiction," said Kombes Pol Muhammad Eka Fathurrahman, quoted from Antara, Sunday, March 12.

Kombes Pol Muhammad Eka Fathurrahman said that in this operation, 54 two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles were confiscated by officers at the Pasar Baru intersection and at the Wuawua intersection.

"The location is in the New Market Crossroads and in the Wuawua Intersection," said Kombes Pol Muhammad Eka Fathurrahman.

The former Director of Drug Investigation (Res Narkoba) of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police explained that the 54 vehicles confiscated consisted of 27 units of two-wheeled vehicles and 27 units of four-wheeled vehicles.

"In the patrol, with the results, 27 units of two-wheeled vehicles and 27 units of four-wheeled vehicles were confiscated, because they used racing or brong exhaust," he said.

The number one person at the Kendari Police revealed that the 54 vehicles have now been secured at the Kendari Police Headquarters for further processing.

"The vehicle has been secured at the Kendari Police Headquarters for further processing," he explained.

He also revealed that patrols of vehicles using racing or brong exhausts will continue to be carried out in the jurisdiction of the Kendari Police.

"For this reason, we urge all Kendari City residents to immediately replace their exhaust using standard exhausts in accordance with the provisions," he continued.

Kombes Pol Muhammad Eka Fathurrahman said that the patrol was also held based on complaints from several Kendari City residents who were restless and disturbed by the existence of vehicles using exhaust racing or brong.
