As previously reported, Akindo Sushiro Co. said in a press release, customers would be asked to order food on the touchscreen panel instead of picking up ready-to-eat food served on a plate that runs in a conveyor belt past many visitors. That's after customers were found to have abused and littered unused cups andfoams.
The move comes after videos of unhygienic behavior by customers at virtual restaurants in cyberspace, led Akindo Sushiro to file a lawsuit against police for damage to customers earlier this week.
In addition, Sushiro restaurants will install acrylic boards between chairs and walking tires, to prevent unnecessary contacts betweenerates and customers. If customers feel uncomfortable using tea cups and the spices provided on their desks, the restaurant will replace them with different ones when requested.
Previously, in a video widely shared on social media, a customer of the Sushiro branch in Gifu Prefecture, Japan was caughtURing the top of an open soy sauce bottle, putting the edges of unused tea cups into their mouths, and then sweeping a plate of Mario's plate with his finger covered in saliva.
