Car Rental Mode In Central Java, In Fact Taken Away By Perpetrators And Digadakan

Semarang Police have arrested a woman who embezzled dozens of motorbikes and rental cars in various areas in Central Java.

"For Semarang alone, there are seven complaints that have been submitted, the rest have occurred outside Semarang," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Semarang Police, AKBP Donny Lumbantoruan, quoted by ANTARA, Friday.

The suspect NHS (43), a resident of Pedurungan, Semarang City, chose a random motor or car rental service provider.

He explained the modus operandi of the perpetrators, namely by renting a motorbike or car for several days at once.

Motorcycles are leased for IDR 400 thousand to IDR 700 thousand for a 10-day rental and IDR 2.5 million for rent for two weeks.

After the period ended, he continued, the vehicle rented was not returned to the owner.

The perpetrators pawned the motorbike and car at a price of Rp. 2 million to Rp. 5 million.

For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 372 of the Criminal Code regarding embezzlement.

To the owner of the rental service who feels that he has transacted with the perpetrator and his motorized vehicle has not been found, he said, he could contact the police to check the evidence that is difficult to secure.
