SSIA Targets Subang Smartpolitan Industrial Estate To Operate In The Third Quarter Of 2024

JAKARTA - PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk (SSIA) through its subsidiary PT Suryacipta Swadaya targets the Subang Smartpolitan industrial area in Subang, West Java to operate in the third quarter of 2024.

PT Suryacipta's VP Sales and Marketing Swadaya Abednego Purnomo, in Karawang, West Java, Thursday, March 9, said that the handover of land to tenants will begin in the third quarter of 2023 in line with the construction of industrial estate utilities.

"The target is that in the third quarter of 2024 we are ready to operate simultaneously with the operation of the Patimban Port and the access toll road to Patimban," he said, quoted from Antara.

Subang Smartpolitan began to be developed in November 2020. Until now, the progress of land acquisition has reached 1,500 hectares out of a total of 2,717 hectares of land to be cultivated.

In the first phase of development, there are 400 hectares of land that is entering the cut and fill stage where 100 hectares are ready to be handed over.

There is already one Japanese company in the electronics sector that buys land in Subang Smartpolitan. They started construction in August 2023 and are targeted to start operating in the third quarter of 2024, along with the operations of this industrial area," he said again.

Managing Director of PT Suryacipta Swadaya Hudaya Arryanto Sumadhija said the location in Subang was chosen, due to the consideration of easy access potential from Jakarta, Bandung and the Trans Java Toll Road. Not to mention the connection with Patimban Port as an export hub for automotive products.

"We see that there is a good potential to develop the industry there, especially since there is Patimban, the ideal geographical location, entering the Metropolitan Tambourine as well as considering the UMR (Regional Minimum Effort)," he said.

Hudaya said the concept raised in the development of the region was not only industrial estates, but became an integrated city equipped with smart, sustainable, ESG-oriented residential and commercial areas.

He also emphasized the important role of Patimban Port and toll road access to Patimban, which according to him is a magnet for industrial estate development.

To support the ease of logistics to Patimban, SSIA through its subsidiary PT Nusa Raya Cipta Tbk, is also included in the consortium PT Jasamarga Access Patimban which will build a total of 37 km Patimban access toll road.

The access toll road is divided into five sections, where sections 1 and 2 are built by the government and sections 3, 4 and 5 are built by the consortium PT Jasamarga Access Patimban.

"This 23 km toll road will be carried out by the government and the rest a 14 km private consortium will be built. The plan is that in the third quarter of 2023 development in the private sector and the government will run and the third quarter of 2024 will be connected. For those of us who are involved in the industrial world, this is a very good prospect, "said Hudaya.
