Jakarta - Presidential Chief of Staff Dr. Moeldoko emphasized that efforts to prevent and eradicate corruption must have a breakthrough. He conveyed this at the 2023-2024 National Strategic Action for Corruption Prevention (Stranas PK), at the KPK Juang Building, Wednesday, March 8.
There are two important notes underlined by Moeldoko for the 2023-2024 Stranas PK action. First, he emphasized that Stranas PK must be easy to understand and not ceremonial.
"The president doesn't like this. So I ask the ministries/agencies and local governments that have signed a commitment to prevent corruption today to immediately socialize it to their staff. Don't just sign it but don't understand its contents. This is my message," said Moeldoko when delivering a closing speech at the signing ceremony. the commitment to implementing the Corruption Prevention Action 2023-2024, at the KPK Juang Building, Wednesday, March 8.
The second note, he continued, was that corruption prevention must be felt new and real in solving concrete problems in the community. He gave an example, the problem of illegal levies in basic services. Such as education, health, and population administration. "So the canal for extortion and corruption must be strengthened," he said.
According to Moeldoko, corruption prevention must also be relevant to efforts to increase the index. Such as the Corruption Perception Index, the Government's Effectiveness Index, and the Anti-Corruption Behavior Index.
"Honestly, I say that the President is not happy with our GPA achievements. And he ordered various corrective steps to be carried out immediately," explained Moeldoko.
The 2013-2015 TNI Commander also explained five directives from President Joko Widodo regarding corruption prevention that must be carried out by the government.
Namely, strengthening the corruption prevention system, taking action against major corruption, professionalism of law enforcement officers, asset tracing and asset recovery, as well as strengthening regulations for eradicating corruption, especially the Asset Confiscation Bill.
"We don't have much time. The public is waiting, people are expecting our breakthroughs," said Moeldoko.
For information, Stranas PK is the direction of national policy that contains the focus and targets of preventing corruption which is used as a reference for ministries, institutions, local governments and other stakeholders in carrying out corruption prevention actions in Indonesia.
Stranas PK is under the coordination of five ministries/agencies. Namely, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the Presidential Staff Office, the Ministry of PAN-RB, Bappenas, and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Since the issuance of Presidential Decree No. 54/2018 concerning the National Strategy for Corruption Prevention, there has been an improvement in the corruption prevention system that is focused, measurable, and impacted.
Among them, the improvement of the DTKS data base on NIK which produces the accuracy of the target for distributing social assistance so that it has an impact on the efficiency of state finances, which is equivalent to Rp. 1.79 trillion.
In addition, Stranas PK also realized Reform in 14 ports to digitize business processes. As a result, there is an acceleration of clothing time from 3 days to 1 day, and the efficiency of loading and unloading time from 8-10 TEUs per crane per hour to 35-40 per crane per hour.
"This of course must be continued, especially to strengthen supervision and business processes in customs and quarantine," concluded Moeldoko.
