Criteria And Terms For Recipients Of Electric Vehicle Subsidy
YOGYAKARTA Buyers of electric vehicles will receive a subsidy of IDR 7 million per unit. However, there are a number of criteria and conditions for receiving electricity vehicle subsidies that must be known, both for the purchase of new electric vehicles and for the conversion of fossil fuel motorcycles to electric motorcycles.
The criteria and conditions for receiving electric motorcycle subsidies were revealed by the Head of the Fiscal Policy Agency (BKF) of the Ministry of Finance Febrio Kacaribu. Prospective recipients must meet one of the following criteria.
The points above are mandatory to increase productivity and increase efficiency in running a business. The criteria above apply to new buyers of electric vehicles in the country.
As for the conversion of fuel vehicles to electricity, there are a number of conditions that must be met as revealed by the Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Rida Mulyana. The criteria are as follows.
Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita briefly explained how to obtain subsidies for electric vehicles. He explained that prospective buyers must visit the dealership that provides subsidized electric vehicles.
The dealer will check the data of potential buyers and input files as one of the requirements for incentive claims from the government. After that, the state-owned bank (Himbara) set verifies and provides protection to electric vehicle manufacturers.
Buyers have to bring their ID cards because the dealer will check the NIK of electric vehicle buyers. This step is taken to check whether the buyer meets the criteria as an incentive recipient of electric vehicles. If the buyer is included in the criteria and passes the inspection, the dealer will immediately give a discount.
As is known, the budget value prepared by the Government related to the electric vehicle incentive program is IDR 1.75 trillion. This value is divided into 200,000 new electric motorcycles and 50,000 motorcycles converted from fuel to electricity.
Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita explained that this electric vehicle incentive distribution scheme will take effect in the middle of March.
In terms of producers, a number of products are submitted to the Government in accordance with the provisions, namely the Domestic Component Level (TDKN) must be 40 percent. The Minister of Industry also explained that currently there are three producers who have issued 40 percent of products with TKDN, namely Gesit, Volta, and Selis.
After the producers register, the verification agency will check and collect data. The Ministry of Industry will forward information to Himbara banks that distribute subsidy funds.
