Big From The Digital World, Ria Ricis Doesn't Want To Introduce Social Media To Her Child, Really?
JAKARTA - As someone who gets big profits through digital and social media platforms, Ria Ricis has her own views on social media for her son, Cut Raifa Aramoana or can be called Moana.
Even though she is still 7 months old, Moana is not like many famous babies who have made social media accounts since her birth. Ria Ricis and her husband, Teuku Ryan, do not want to teach their child social media.
"When it comes to social media, both of us as parents really don't want to teach Moana to play social media, play Instagram," Ria Ricis told the media crew in Bogor, West Java on Sunday, March 5.
Not only for now, Ricis hopes that his son will not have his own Instagram account until he grows up. "So we don't give Moana Instagram herself, but we hope that until she grows up she doesn't have her own Instagram either," he continued.
Naturally, social media does have a lot of content that is not necessarily good for children's development. Moreover, various information on social media that is not necessarily true can be misunderstood by a child who cannot sort out information.
Until now, Ricis has never allowed Moana to see shows on cellphones from YouTube or social media. He prefers his son to watch shows on television.
"We haven't given the cellphone until now. So if he wants to watch it, watch it on TV and it's also monitored by both of us," he concluded.
