Proven To Use Fake Plates At Rubicon, Weighting Sentences Waiting For Mario Dandy
JAKARTA - The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the National Police said that the use of fake number plates, especially in the Mario Dandy Satriyo case, could be processed criminally.
Meanwhile, Mario Dandy changed the Jeep Rubicon number plate from B 2571 PBP to B 120 DEN.
"As for, I read in the regulations that if you use a plate that is not the number, the sanction is only two months or five hundred thousand," said Head of Traffic Police Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi to reporters, Friday, March 3.
The sanctions are contained in Article 280 of the Road Transport Traffic Law (LLAJ) number 22 of 2009.
In fact, the two-star general said that if a vehicle with a fake plate was used to commit a crime, then it could be even heavier for the sanctions.
Later, the detective unit will explore the use of the fake plate. So, all problems will become clear.
"Later, the detective will ask what this is used for. If you apologize for committing a crime, then you can increase the number of times," said Firman.
Previously, Mario Dandy Satryo was said to have deliberately changed his original number plate. However, the reason behind the action is not clear.
