The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Has Opportunity To Determine A Corporate Suspect In The Coal Transportation Corruption Case

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has the opportunity to name a corporate suspect related to allegations of corruption in the transportation of coal to BUMD belonging to the South Sumatra Provincial Government (Sumsel). They will ensnare the company if they find strong evidence.

"If there is sufficient evidence, it can also be determined as a suspect (corporation)," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday, March 2.

The KPK is indeed investigating the company's activities in this corruption case. One of them, PT Sriwijaya Mandiri Sumsel (SMS) is a Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD).

Allegedly, the company issued funds without any accountability reports. So, the anti-corruption commission continues to monitor.

"We will explore this matter," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption in the abuse of authority in cooperation in coal transportation by BUMD in South Sumatra. However, the suspect in the case has not yet been announced.

Disclosure of the suspect will be carried out when the investigation process is sufficient. The suspect will also be announced after an attempt to be detained.

In an effort to uncover this case, investigators have searched the PT SMS office. From this activity, documents related to alleged corruption in the transportation of coal were found.
