"The survey of the West Pasaman Central Statistics Agency showed that the unemployment rate had indeed increased from 5.02 percent to 6.33 percent," said Head of the West Pasaman Manpower Office, Armen, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 1. He said that the cause of the increase in unemployment rates was caused by jobs slightly with an increasing population level, the education and employment rates were not appropriate as well as the lack of job seekers' skills. In response to this, the West Pasaman Regency Government intensified the West Pasaman Work Training Center (BLK) to carry out training for job seekers in the area. Then a collaboration is held so that later job seekers can be accepted in the job field. "The jobs that we have worked together so far include in the fields of MSMEs, gas procedures, workshops, electricity and ICT," he said. In addition, his party also visited the workplaces in West Pasaman to look for job vacancies. According to him, there will be training that can improve human resources and create independent trade labor in dealing with the world of work.
He said the UPTD BLK consisted of two workshop units, namely automotive workshops and electrical workshops, one BLK unit, one theory room unit and one water tower unit. He explained that the purpose of establishing BLK would also increase labor productivity in companies as small and medium enterprises as well as independent businesses, expand business fields and job opportunities, create production training and skills tests, encourage and develop entrepreneurial life and increase motivation and self-isolation.
