Pressing The Number Of Domestic Violence Cases In Jayapura Papua, DPPPA Collaborates With Paralegal

PAPUA - The Jayapura Regency Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Agency (DPPPA) has suppressed the number of cases of domestic violence or domestic violence by cooperating with illegal companies.

Head of DPPPA Jayapura Miryam Yesoumilena said the paralegal covers the women's community and community leaders campaigning for the prevention of domestic violence and handling cases of violence

Miryam explained, Regent Regulation Number 35 of 2019 concerning the implementation of violence-free areas mandates the implementation of efforts to protect and fulfill the rights of women and children.

"There are already rules that intervene in the rights of women and children, now our job is to raise public awareness, especially for men," he said.

Miryam also revealed that efforts to protect and fulfill the rights of women and children should be carried out starting from the family level.

"Families should be a comfortable place full of warmth and love, women and children deserve it," he said.
