Director General Of Taxes Suryo Utomo Asks Citizens To Find Unprofessional DGT Employees
JAKARTA - Director General of Taxes Suryo Utomo asked residents to report if they found employees working unprofessionally because it had an effect on the integrity and trust of the community.
"That's why from the start I reminded professionals. Just report it to us if any of our members are trying to play," said Suryo, in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Saturday, February 25.
According to Suryo, one of the cases in the spotlight was violence perpetrated by children from officials from the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance.
From this case, he considered that it would undermine the integrity and public trust in taxes.
However, Suryo did not specify where the residents could report if there were residents who wanted to report the unprofessional thing. In fact, he said, his party had tried to maintain the good name and trust of the community.
"In the last two years, namely 2021 and 2022, state tax revenues exceed the target. And if that is maintained, it is not impossible to occur at the end of 2023," he hoped.
Based on the Ministry of Finance's website, the realization of tax revenue in 2022 will reach IDR 2,034.5 trillion or 114 percent of the target of Presidential Regulation 98/2022 of IDR 1,784 trillion, growing 31.4 percent from the realization in 2021 of IDR 1,547.8 trillion.
Suryo hopes that the existence of good tax revenue will certainly have an impact on the country's economy which is used for development.
Previously, the Chairman of IKPI, Ruston Tambunan, added that the Indonesian Tax Consultant Association (IKPI) had an important role in building countries sourced from taxes.
"Therefore, IKPI together with the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) continue to move professionally and maintain integrity in order to increase public trust, especially taxpayers," said Ruston.
Ruston has also extended the MoU with a DGT in South Jakarta, on Friday (24/2).
In addition, his party also intensively educates the public, especially taxpayers through government programs as a whole.
"All government programs on taxation such as'sunset policy', 'tax amnesty', pps (voluntary disclosure program) and tax regulations make a real contribution so that this cooperation will continue for the next five years," he added.
For example, the Pekanbaru Branch IKPI helps the public report taxes by filling in the SPT so that similar steps will be taken to several other areas.
"Because we are trusted, it will be easier for us to carry out the role of helping taxpayers fulfill their obligations," he said.
Chairman of the Public Relations Department of IKPI Henri PD Silalahi revealed that the signing of the cooperation was witnessed by 200 participants offline and more than 1,500 IKPI members online.
