Reported Missing Contacts In Norway, Lecturer UII Yogyakarta Detectioned Entering The United States
JAKARTA - Lecturer at the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII) Yogyakarta Ahmad Munasir Rafie Pratama (AMRP) who was reported to have lost contact after visiting the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) in Norway was detected entering the United States through Boston Airport."Based on information received by the family through UII from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemlu RI), AMRP was detected entering the United States through Boston Airport on February 13, 2023," said UII Chancellor Fathul Wahid in a statement received in Yogyakarta, Antara, Sunday, February 19.The findings, he said, were based on data from the United States Customs and Border Protection (US CBP)."UII and his family express their high gratitude and appreciation to the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all ranks at the Indonesian Embassy in Oslo, the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara, the Indonesian Consulate General in Istanbul, the Indonesian Consulate General in New York, PP Muhammadiyah, and other parties that we cannot mention one by one, for the assistance provided in tracking AMRP efforts," said Fathul.However, Fathul said the exact location of Ahmad Munasir's whereabouts in Boston was not known.According to him, UII does not yet know the mission or the reason why Ahmad Munasir headed to Boston upon his return from Oslo via Istanbul, and did not go directly to Indonesia."Until now, AMRP cannot be contacted," said Fathul.He hopes that Ahmad Munasir will immediately contact UII and his family to report the location and circumstances."UII also hopes that after the mission in Boston is completed, AMRP can return to Indonesia in good health and health. If assistance or pick-up is needed, UII will coordinate with the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and/or the Indonesian Consulate General in New York," said Fathul Wahid.Previously, Ahmad Munasir traveled to Oslo, Norway on February 4, 2023 in the context of campus duties to participate in global mobility activities at the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) in Norway.Munasir was supposed to return February 12 via Istanbul on a Turkish Airlines flight and landed at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Thursday (16/2) at 18.00 WIB.However, the Lecturer of Informatics at the UII Faculty of Informatics Engineering was reported to have lost contact after last communicating with his wife on Sunday, February 12 on his way home at Oslo Airport.
