Update On COVID-19 As Of February 18: 190 New Cases, 14,881 Speciments Examined

The COVID-19 Task Force released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. Of the 14,881 specimens examined, there were an additional 190 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,734,102 people and active cases have fallen by 424 to 3,720 cases," said COVID-19 Task Force data, Saturday, February 18.

Today's recovered cases increased by 614 people, bringing the total to 6.569.498 recovered people. No positive confirmed cases died, bringing the total to 160.884 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 87 cases and a total of 1,541,209 cases. Followed by West Java which has 51 new cases with a total of 1,235,875 cases.

Next, East Java has 20 new cases and a total of 637,923 cases. Banten has 18 new cases and a total of 366,267 cases.

Meanwhile, the province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 452 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 100 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 23 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 10 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 115,202,771.

"Positive results per number of people examined or this week's positivity rate of 1.74 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 924 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently there are 203,789,850 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 174,846,541 of the second dose of vaccination.

Then the third dose of vaccination was given as many as 69,981,408 and the fourth dose was 2,435,048. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
