Setelah Sembilan Tahun Menjabat, Susan Wojcicki Mundur Dari CEO YouTube
JAKARTA - After 25 years of joining Google, and nine years serving as CEO of YouTube, Susan Wojcicki decided to leave her post on Thursday, February 16.
Announced for the first time via email to YouTube employees and then posted to a YouTube blog, Susan said that now she wants to focus on her family.
"Today, after nearly 25 years here, I decided to step down from my role as YouTube leader and start a new chapter focused on family, health and personal projects that I love," wrote Susan.
During her tenure as CEO, Susan managed to bring her team to extraordinary performance by launching large products such as YouTube TV, YouTube Music, and Premium and Shorts.
Susan's resignation from this CEO provides an opportunity for Neal Mohan to replace her position as SPV and YouTube's new leader.
"I've spent nearly 15 years of my career working with Neal, first when he came to Google with the acquisition of Double Click in 2007 and when his role developed into the SVP of Pictures and Video Ads," said the former YouTube CEO.
According to Susan, Mohan has been very understanding of products, businesses, the creator community and users of YouTube, and YouTube employees since the time he joined as a YouTube CPO in 2015. Susan believes Neal will be a great leader for YouTube.
"With everything we do on Shorts, streaming, and subscriptions, along with the AI promise, the most exciting YouTube opportunity lies ahead, and Neal is the right person to lead us," he added.
