GARUT - The Government of Garut Regency, West Java distributed 442 units of motorcycles to support the performance of the village government in providing more optimal community services, so that developed and concerned villages were realized towards its community. "The motorcycle, it is an improvement of performance, as a form of our gratitude because this village is an entity that we must pay attention to," said Garut Regent Rudy Gunawan, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 16. He said that the motor assistance had a budget sourced from the Garut Regency APBD which was given to the entire village and sub-district, each unit of a motorcycle. According to the Regent, the assistance of the motorcycle is in accordance with the village and sub-district needs that can be used for village government officials in carrying out its duties. "It's not just the village head, it's an inventory motorbike belonging to the village, it can go everywhere," he said.Responding to the provision of motorcycle assistance from the Garut Regency Government, there will be 82 villages spread over 28 sub-districts carrying out the election of village heads that must be properly utilized by the community to select village leaders. He hopes that the elected village head will have a better desire by utilizing the budget and resources in the village for the benefit of the community," he said. In addition, the chairman of the All-Indonesian Village Government (Apdesi) Banyuresmi District Government Association Iwan Ridwan expressed his gratitude to the Garut Regent and Deputy Regent Garut who had paid attention to the village by providing operational vehicle facilities. According to him, motorized vehicles are needed for village government officials to carry out various community service tasks, such as controlling village development and other community activities. In addition, the aid motorbikes can be used to serve people who need vehicles to hospitals, as well as school children who have difficulty accessing transportation services. "It is very beneficial for the community, because in our village many residents who live in alleys, so motorbikes need to provide services for the community," said Iwan.
