Garut District Health Office, West Java, handled dozens of students who experienced dizziness and nausea due to suspected poisoning after consuming ice cream snacks sold at Kersamenak Elementary School, Tarogong Kidul District."There are 66 people, one person is still undergoing treatment at the puskesmas not seriously, the remaining 65 people have gone home," said Secretary of the Garut Regency Health Office (Dinkes) Leli Yuliani in Garut, Antara, Tuesday, February 14.He said the Kersamenanak Health Center received a report from SDN 2 Kersamenak that a number of students complained of pain were the same as dizziness and nausea after consuming snacks at an ice cream school during rest hours, Tuesday.With the report, he said, the ranks of the puskesmas went straight to school and took medical action, and one person was referred to the puskesmas for further treatment."Some feel dizzy, have stomach aches, and vomit, then the school reports via telephone to the Kersamenak Health Center, not long after, the Kersamenak PKM officers come to the location and provide medical assistance," he said.He conveyed that 66 students complained of pain after consuming the ice cream snack.All students, he said, have been allowed to go home while still receiving supervision from the puskesmas to find out about their health development."It is allowed to go home but still under our supervision," he said.He said that apart from treating poisoned students, his party had also secured the type of snacks consumed by students for laboratory tests so that the type of content in the snacks was known.The case, he said, had also been handled by the police who came to the location to examine witnesses, victims and also secure samples of ice cream snacks purchased by students."We have taken the ice cream sample from the used one and sent it to the laboratory for further examination," he said.
