This decision will be taken in a meeting with Commission VIII DPR RI.The Ministry of Religion and Commission VIII of the DPR have also conducted a study on the 2023 Hajj Implementation Fee (BPIH) to reduce components so that this year's Hajj costs can be reduced."Yes. This was stated by the Director General of Hajj and Umrah, Hilman Latief in a Hearing Meeting with Commission VIII, Wednesday, February 8.Hilman said there are several direct and indirect cost components that can be reduced. Namely, accommodation costs, which were originally IDR 24.3 million, could be reduced to IDR 23.3 million. The initial consumption was IDR 7.8 million to IDR 5.8 million.Then transportation from IDR 4.7 million to IDR 4.6 million. The cost in the travel document component is IDR 24 thousand and the cost of living is reduced by IDR 80 thousand.Meanwhile, for indirect costs, which include the cost of organizing domestic Hajj, there are components that can still go down. One of them is services at Embarkation or Debarkation worth IDR 39.2 thousand.However, the flight cost factor cannot be lowered. According to him, this is still being negotiated with the airline. Thus, the proposed increase in the cost of Hajj, which was originally IDR 98.8 million, could be reduced to IDR 96.4 million."That from our overall study, while for direct and direct cost, the proposal per congregation, which was previously Rp. 98.8 million, then to Rp. 96.4 million, was reduced by Rp. 2,415,953 and that has not been reduced by airline costs," said Hilman.The Ministry of Religion also proposed Bipih in 2023 at 70 percent of the BPIH average proposal. Meanwhile, 30 percent comes from the value of the benefits of hajj funds managed by BPKH.
