This Is What Jimi Multhazam Said About The Proliferation Of Music Festivals In The Country

JAKARTA - The employees of the nu-wave unit The Up Willings Jimi Multhazam commented on the rise of music festivals held in several cities in the country and have the potential to penetrate into small towns.

Musicians who are also members of the alternative rock band MORFEM think that later many small cities will hold large-scale music festivals, especially after the Government's announcement of the revocation of the regulation on the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).

"If we look at the community, they are currently euphoric with festivals, especially in big cities. Currently, maybe the small cities are not too far away. I had a gig in several small towns and I saw that the audience had come to the festival from two o'clock in the afternoon even though his favorite artist had only played at eight o'clock at night," said Jimi at the Jakarta Gambir Expo Music Market Festival, quoted by Antara.

In the future, Jimi believes that music festivals will penetrate into small towns. Even so, he has been watching from the recent rise of music festivals that there are still organizers who are classified as not ready so they still leave poor records.

"(The organizers) are still gapping as well. But it looks like this will be a natural selection for the festival. Later, those who are already strong from concepts, branding and the community will survive," he explained.

Jimi further realized that the rise of music festivals will meet a saturation point someday. However, he tends to enjoy every process.

"There will definitely be boredom or saturation. I'm just enjoying it. Moreover, for the past two years we've been staying at home a lot and now we can go out and especially watch festivals. It's definitely fun," he said.
