Bogor Regency Government's Budget Is IDR 300 Billion Deficit, APBD Program Has Not Been Running

BOGOR  - The Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab), West Java, will immediately re-allocate the budget, due to a deficit of more than IDR 300 billion which has prevented the programs in the 2023 APBD from being implemented.

"We have not yet moved to carry out an activity program. Because after being evaluated by the Governor, there is a deficit of around IDR 300 billion, so we have to refocus the budget," said Acting Bogor Regent Iwan Setiawan in his statement, as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, February 12.

This deficit is caused by the calculation of the Unpredicted Remaining Budget Use (SiLPA) at the end of 2022. This is because when the 2023 District Budget was passed at the end of November 2022, SiLPA was predicted to be around IDR 700 billion.

However, at the end of December 2022, budget absorption in Bogor Regency was quite good, leaving SiLPA only around IDR 350 billion.

"So there must be refocusing. It will be chosen again which priority program must take precedence," said Iwan.

Previously, the Head of the Budget Section at the Bogor Regency Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD), Achmad Wildan, said that the SiLPA prediction of IDR 700 billion was based on a Fund Disbursement Order (SP2D) that had been issued.

From the APBD worth IDR 8.5 trillion in 2022, the Bogor Regency Government at that time was targeting to absorb 93.4 percent. However, the reality exceeded the target.

"The target for budget absorption in the 2022 APBD is 93.4 percent. Hopefully, it can be achieved by the end of the year, because currently there are still some that are being processed," Wildan said in mid-December 2022.
