The Minister Of Manpower To Trade Participants To Japan From NTB: Spread Good News About Indonesia
Participants in the selection of internships to Japan in West Nusa Tenggara were asked to maintain the good name of Indonesia.
The Indonesian Minister of Manpower, Ida Fauziyah, reminded that the internship selection participants were the nation's ambassadors.
"They are not only working there, but also as ambassadors of the nation which will be the benchmark for other nations against the Indonesian nation. Spread good news about Indonesia in other countries," said Ida Fauziyah quoting Antara, Sunday, February 12.
He emphasized that he did not want interns to go to Japan to bring bad culture when working abroad, because it would affect the image of all Indonesians.
"The actions of one person will tarnish Indonesia's good name in the eyes of the world," he said.
Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah revealed that in Indonesia there are 8.4 million unemployed people. With the Japanese internship program, it will certainly reduce the unemployment rate in Indonesia.
"The brothers who passed the selection of the Japanese internship program are also very lucky compared to 8.4 million other people who have not worked," said Ida Fauziyah.
Ida said working abroad is the right of every citizen. The government cannot prohibit the public from working. The government's obligation is to provide protection for its citizens who work abroad.
The country of Japan is one of the destination countries for an internship program organized by the government because Japan is included in the category of developed countries. Japan has become a developed country, because it can make good use of demographic bonuses.
Currently, Indonesia is also experiencing a demographic bonus. Therefore, the government and all parties, including the community, must be able to make good use of the demographic bonus, so that they can lead Indonesia to become a developed country.
"Demographic bonuses that are not accommodated properly will arise in danger. Many people are unemployed. The increasing unemployment will cause many social problems. It is dangerous for the nation. Therefore, this demographic bonus must be managed properly," explained Ida Fauziyah.
In front of 175 Japanese intern selection participants, Ida revealed that currently there are many requests for Indonesian workers from other countries. In fact, there are Vietnam, India and the Philippines who also have a lot of workforce, but many of them ask from Indonesia.
Why? Because it turns out that workers from Indonesia are famous for their good character or culture, such as hard workers, friendly, smiling, polite, please help, responsibilities, and much more.
"Pertahankan budaya baik kita dan juga harus mengambil budaya baru Jepang yang lebih baik lagi," katanya.
Head of the NTB Manpower and Transmigration Agency, I Gde Putu Aryadi, said that Japan's internship program is increasingly popular, this is evident from the number of participants who participated in the recruitment and selection of 175 people in the trade program to Japan in 2023.
It is planned that in 2023 there will be two selections for Japanese internships, namely in February and June 2023. In 2022, 192 people participated in the selection of the trade program to Japan and 66 participants passed the Phase I Regional Training (Pelatda) in Praktik Kerja to Japan.
Participants in the Japanese Trade Practice in 2022 are the participants who graduated the most during the Japanese internship in NTB.
Even Japanese people, especially the North and East regions, are looking forward to the arrival of participants in the practice of intern work from NTB.
"The 66 participants who passed the Phase I Pelatda have signed a work contract with companies and industries in Japan where they will carry out an internship program for 3-5 years. Currently, the 66 participants are already in Japan," he said.
