KemenPPPA Value Of The TPKS Law Needs Massive Socialization
JAKARTA - Deputy for the Protection of Women's Rights at the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Ratna Susianawati assessed that efforts to socialize the Law on the Crime of Sexual Violence are a big task that must be done by all parties because there are still many people who do not know the existence of this law.
"Still, the public is not aware that we already have the TPKS Law. Well, of course, we have to build something, so that people understand actually in the context of handling, recovering, and also preventing the crime of sexual violence, we already have a law," said Ratna Susianawati in a Media Talk entitled "Commitment to the Government to Follow up Delegation on Articles of the Deliberation of the TPKS Law", in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Saturday, February 11.
Then another challenge in the implementation of this Law is related to the preparation of devices and strengthening the capacity of human resources.
"Then how to ensure synergy, collaboration of efforts made between ministries/agencies and also local governments that we can do," said Ratna Susianawati.
The government has agreed to simplify or merge the Implementing Regulation of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning the Crime of Sexual Violence (TPKS Law) into 3 Government Regulations (PP) and 4 Presidential Regulations (Perpres).
These seven Implementing Regulations are a merger of 5 Government Regulations (PP) and 5 Presidential Regulations based on the mandate of the TPKS Law.
His party ensures that this merger does not reduce the content material substantially from the TPKS Law.
"Symplification of the implementing regulations on the Criminal Act of Sexual Violence without reducing the content material substantially and does not have an impact on the operationalization of the TPKS Law," said Ratna Susianawati.
