Indonesian National Team Basketball Player Abraham Damar Joined The Japanese League Basketball Team

JAKARTA Pebasket Indonesian national team Abraham Damar Grahita has officially joined Japanese basketball club Veltex Shizuoka. The club is currently competing in the 3rd Division of the Japanese Basketball League or B3 League.

This certainty was known from Veltex's upload on their Instagram account on Friday, February 10. The former Prawira Bandung player, who plays as a shooting guard, will defend the team for 2022-2023.

"We are pleased to announce that Veltex Shizuoka has signed a new player contract with #4 Abraham Damar Grahita for the 2022-2023 season," Veltex wrote on their Instagram page.

Abraham welcomes his opportunity to increase his experience abroad. The player who was born in Pangkal Pinang on October 8, 1995, emphasized his appearance in Sakura Country as a representation for Indonesia.

"I know it won't be easy, I have to adapt. And I'm here not only to represent myself, but also to represent my country in Japan," Abraham said, as reported by Antara, Friday, February 10.

Abraham is not the only Indonesian basketball player to travel abroad to compete in the international league.

Previously, Indonesian national team basketball player Brandon Jawato had previously competed in the Japanese Basketball League.

Brandon Jawato was recruited by the Utsunomiya Brex team who competed in the Japan Basketball League 1 Division in 2021 and moved to Seadorses Mikawa in division 2 in 2022.
