Bastianini Instead Appraisal Bagnaia As The Strongest Competition In MotoGP 2023, Not Quartararo Or Marquez
JAKARTA - The 2023 MotoGP competition is believed to be fiercer than before. Several changes in the composition of the riders make the fight more interesting.
One of those predicted to become a potential champion was Ducati Lenovo's rider, Enea Bastianini. Last season, he was involved in a hot competition to become world champion.
In fact, Bastianini only rode a satellite motorbike from Ducati. This time, he will get a motorbike with more qualified specifications with the factory team.
Bastianini is definitely not going alone. There are several names who are also strong candidates, namely Fabio Quartararo, Marc Marquez, and Francesco Bagnaia.
The first two names did not seem to really catch the attention of Bastianini. Instead, he revealed that his biggest rival in the 2023 MotoGP event was his teammate, Francesco "Pecco" Bagnaia.
"Sekarang saya berada di tim pabrikan, jadi saya akan memiliki tanggung jawab yang lebih besar. Namun, (ada tantangan) mengingat Pecco memenangkan gelar (pada tahun lalu). Tapi saya akan memberikan 100 persen untuk mencoba melakukan yang lebih baik dan lebih baik," kata Bastianini, dikutip Antara via Crash, Kamis, 9 Februari.
The rider, nicknamed "The Beast", said his transition from the Gresini satellite team to the factory team turned out to encourage him to compete as well as work with Bagnaia.
"I think I'm going to find more tensions, but this is the opposite. I immediately felt comfortable (when I moved to Ducati Lenovo)," he said.
"I also feel happy. The last few years have been very beautiful. In 2020 my first world title arrived with Moto2. In 2021 I made my debut with MotoGP and in 2022 I managed to finish third in the championship. This is a good growth path, I hope to continue like this," he added.
Team Manager Davide Tardozzi also agreed. According to him, Bastianini has the passion to face this season with a series of experience in previous seasons.
