The Suspected Terrorist Who Was Arrested By Densus 88 In Cirebon Works As A Kemplang Group Seller

The Densus 88 Anti-terror Team at the National Police Headquarters arrested a suspected terrorist in his rented house in Kubang Village, Cirebon Regency, West Java, Tuesday, February 7 at around 04.57 WIB.

Wawan said the suspected terrorist with the initials AT was arrested by Densus 88 Anti-terror without any resistance.

According to him, AT is an immigrant, where he lives in Kubang Village, in 2021 and is currently registered as a local resident, because he has changed addresses.

He explained from the police's statement that he was a suspected terrorist from the Sumatra network, and before being caught AT first went to Cirebon.

"From the information we got, the suspected terrorist is a Sumatran network," he said.

Wawan added that in his daily life suspected terrorists do not show anything suspicious, even AT hangs out with local residents like usual residents.

Bahkan kata Wawan, AT dikenal sebagai penjual kerupuk kemplang, karena memang yang bersangkutan menjadi distributor untuk di daerahnya.

He admitted that he did not feel any suspicion regarding the behavior of the person concerned, nor was he a local resident, so he was shocked when officers arrested AT for allegedly being involved in terrorism.

"Daily, as usual, nothing suspicious. He lives with his wife and children, and after being arrested, the rented house is now empty," he said.

According to him, at the time of the arrest, officers brought several items, such as two cell phones, savings books, ATMs, and small books.

"During the search, no one carried a weapon from the house of the suspected terrorist AT," he said.
