The Case Of The 'Dinas' Car Of The Ojol Collis Police In Rawamangun Has Been Mediated, The Treatment Is Borne By The Perpetrators
The East Jakarta Traffic Unit (Satlantas) is still investigating the case of a car accident with the police license plate that broke through the Traffic Light (TL) at the Aron intersection, Jalan Pemuda, Rawamangun, East Jakarta. Head of Traffic for East Jakarta, AKBP Edy Surasa, explained that the incident began at around 17.00 WIB on Monday, February 6, yesterday.
"At that time, he (the driver of the official license plate of the National Police) drove from east to west on Jalan Pemuda. Right at TL Arion, he tried to grab the traffic light. After taking the traffic light, the motorbike came from Rawamangun," said AKBP Edy to VOI, Tuesday, February 7, evening.
That's when a traffic accident occurred between a motorcyclist and a police official car. As a result of the accident, the motorcyclist was injured.
"When I was right on the TL, I collided there. Some were injured by motorcyclists but we have mediated everything. We call the victim's family, including the car carrier's family. The car's family is fully responsible," he said.
Although mediation has been carried out, AKBP Edy said the case is still being handled by the East Jakarta Satwil Traffic Traffic Unit.
"We are still investigating the case first. What is clear is that we are trying to call everyone. Then the car drivers are responsible. We will secure everything (still), we will investigate first," he explained.
Previously, it was reported that a car with the police license plate across the busway from the direction of Pulogadung to Pramuka crashed into an ojol driver at Traffic Light (TL) Aron, Jalan Pemuda, Rawamangun, East Jakarta.
After crashing into him, the official car driver fled and was caught by another ojol driver about 500 meters from the scene. The car with the police license plate number 3110-00 was also caught breaking through the red light traffic sign.
East Jakarta Satwil Traffic Head AKBP Edy Surasa confirmed the incident. According to him, the car and motorbike involved in the accident have been secured at the East Jakarta Satwil.
"Everything we secure, the car is secured at the East Jakarta Traffic Unit. We will investigate first. The driver is a civilian. That's why we ask, why do civilians use this number, so we investigate it," said AKBP Edy to VOI, Tuesday, February 7, afternoon.
