Jokowi EMPHASIZED The Commitment To Eradicate Corruption: I Never Have The Slightest Love For Tolerance

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) firmly said that he would not tolerate any perpetrators of corruption.

"I reiterate, I will never tolerate the perpetrators of corruption," said the President at a press conference at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday, February 7, quoted by Antara.

The President said the government's commitment to eradicating corruption has never subsided. Prevention efforts continue to be carried out by building a government system, transparent, and accountable public services.

As for the prosecution, he said, the government, among others, has and will continue to pursue and confiscate the assets of BLBI obligors who are not cooperative.

"Law enforcement officials have taken firm action against a number of mega-corruption cases, such as the Asabri and Jiwasraya cases. The same thing will be done for other cases," explained the President.

For this reason, he reminded law enforcement officials to process criminal acts indiscriminately and without selective logging.

"The government will not intervene against law enforcement, and law enforcement officials must be professional and in accordance with applicable laws," he said.
