"Received Many Complaints About Lukas Enembe, Komnas HAM: We Respect The Legal Process That Is The Authority Of The KPK"
JAKARTA - The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) has received many complaints related to the legal process of the alleged corruption case that ensnared the inactive Papuan Governor, Lukas Enembe.
The complaint came not only from the family, but also from the Papua Student Front student organization. Most recently, Thursday, February 2, Komnas Ham filed a complaint from the legal advisory team Lukas Enembe.
They asked for human rights protection, especially the right to health for Lukas Enembe during the legal process at the KPK.
Responding to this, Komnas HAM emphasized that it still respects the ongoing legal process.
"The Indonesian National Human Rights Commission respects the legal process currently being pursued (Lukas Enembe) related to allegations of corruption under the authority of the KPK," said Komnas HAM Chairman, AtINKe Nova Sigiro, in a written statement, as reported by Antara, Saturday, February 4.
Atnike said that Komnas HAM had followed up on complaints from the legal advisory team through coordination with the KPK, both verbally and in writing.
Komnas HAM also ensures the rights of prisoners, especially the right to Lukas Enembe's health, as reported.
In essence, said Atnike, the KPK conveyed that it pays attention to Lukas Enembe's health condition and provides health services and access.
