BPK Will Set More On Digital Rupiah
JAKARTA - The Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) will take anticipatory and responsive actions regarding changes to the provisions related to Bank Indonesia (BI) in the Financial Sector Development and Strengthening Law (UU PPSK).
Chairman of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Isma Yatun said the anticipatory actions taken by BPK were mainly related to further arrangements for the scope of BPK examination of digital rupiah management. This includes planning, issuance, distribution, and administration.
"This is considering the stages of printing, expenditure, and destruction which are mandated by the BPK examination of Law Number 7 of 2011 concerning New Currency Regulating stages in the management of paper and metal rupiah," said the Chairman of the BPK in the Submission of the 2022 Bank Indonesia Annual Financial Report (LKTBI). ) (unaudited) citing between Jakarta, Jakarta, Friday, February 3.

On this occasion, the Governor of BI Perry Warjiyo also handed over LKTBI in 2022 to the Chairman of the BPK which was witnessed by the ranks of the BI Board of Governors, as well as structural and examining officials in the Main Auditorat of State Finance (AKN) II BPK.
"BPK appreciates the Governor of BI and all BI ranks for submitting LKTBI to BPK on time," said Isma.
The activity continued with an entry meeting to examine LKTBI in 2022 and an Examination with Certain Purposes (PDTT) on the printing, expenses, and destruction of the rupiah in 2022. The entry meeting was led by Member II of BPK/Head of State Financial Audit II, Daniel Lumban Tobing.
Members II of the BPK said the PDTT on the printing, expenditure, and destruction of the rupiah was the support for the examination of LKTBI in 2022. This is because the impact of the implementation of printing, spending, and rupiah destruction activities will be reflected in accounts at LKTBI.
After BPK receives LKTBI (unaudited) in 2022, said Daniel, the official examination will begin today (Tuesday 31/1). Furthermore, no later than April 28, 2023, BPK will submit the Audit Result Report (LHP) on LKTBI in 2022 to the DPR and LHP with a Specific Purpose of printing, spending, and destruction of rupiah in 2022 to BI.
"Given the fairly tight inspection schedule, we ask for the commitment of all BI ranks related to the BPK examination in order to adjust the implementation of their duties, so that the BPK examination can still run and be completed according to the set target," said Member II of the BPK.
